NO FOOD!!!
Good morning everyone.
Just wanted to post a gentle reminder to all new and old students that the LRC is a no food zone!!
It is important that this is maintained to ensure the facilities are not damaged in any way and to ensure that litter does not become a problem.
We have noticed a few sneaky wrappers slowly appearing in the area and we ask that you please respect this rule and ensure any food is consumed outside of the LRC at all times.
Many thanks in advance for your cooperation with this.

New Academic Year
Hello and a big welcome to all students, old and new!
We hope you have all had an enjoyable and restful summer and you are now ready for the new exciting academic year.
The LRC has changed a great deal over the summer, with a new layout, new tables and lots of new resources.
We have created a whole new upper level space, changing the computer layout to be more accessible and introducing shiny new brightly coloured group study tables. The staff desk has also changed to be more open and you will see us rotating around the LRC frequently so we can deal with your queries and questions more easily.
On the lower level we have changed the layout of the tables to provide more light and a better view of the outside world!
We also had a massive clear out of our resources and removed all old, outdated and obsolete texts. These have been replaced with more modern, current and relevant resources. Particular areas that have been updated include Politics, Computing/ICT, History and Childcare.
We have also introduced a self-help and an inspirational non-fiction section, so please look out for these.
We still have a good collection of magazines on offer, that can all be borrowed along with a number of E-Resources including Britannica Online, Review Magazines Online Archive (i.e., Biological Review, Business Review, English Review, etc), Digimap and Anatomy and Physiology Online. All the e-resources can be accessed via the LRC tab on Moodle and many of these can be accessed from home.
So we hope you all enjoy your first week and settle into the new term and we look forward to seeing many of you in the LRC soon.
