LGBT History week is to remind us that even today; lesbian,
gay, bisexual and transgender people suffer oppression and discrimination all
around the world. Whilst people still seek to make LGBT people ashamed of who
they are, it is imperative they are proud of it, celebrate their diversity and
remember the contributions LGBT people have made to the world – this year, LGBT
History week is focusing on work LGBT people have done within the fields of
maths and science. Please come and have a look at our display. We also have
some books on tackling homophobic bullying, and how you can support LGBT young
people.
