Mental Health Awareness Week

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

16 to 22 May 2016

RELATIONSHIPS

Every May, since 2000 the Mental Health Foundation have raised awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues through Mental Health Awareness week. This year it takes place on 16 to 22 May 2016 and the theme is about relationships. It is very important that all of us have good and healthy relationships with our family, friends and individuals within the community as it allows us to lead happier and longer lives with less mental health problems.  Our relationships are just as critical to our health as other lifestyle factors such as eating well, exercising more and stopping smoking.  Make your relationships matter.

Come and take a look at the display in the LRC depicting information from the website, as well as some resources available in the LRC to borrow.  Further information, publications and resources can be found on the Mental Health Foundation website.
